What is an AudioMoth?

An AudioMoth is an open-source, low-cost acoustic monitoring device developed by Open Acoustic Devices. It's compact, battery-powered, and can record sounds across a wide frequency range (up to 384kHz), making it ideal for wildlife monitoring, especially bats, birds, and insects.

We have deployed AudioMoths in various ecosystems, such as mangrove forests in the Philippines, the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, and terrestrial forests in Thailand.
